#6 – Podcasting: A Literary Connection
October 17th, 2008 by andrew06
The podcast I listened to was “Monster By Walter Dean Myers”. What I found especially interesting was the soundtrack that this person had chosen. It fit very well with the atmosphere of the book. The person used voice acting and direct quotes from the books which was also very capturing. There was a lot of emotion put into the dialog which made it stand out capturing the listeners attention. Overall, I found this podcast to be very persuasive and well made. I might consider adding to mine would be a soundtrack that will fit well with the story. Also I might add sound effects for a more realistic and capturing dialoge.

#5 – Text Messaging… Does it help or hinder student writing?
October 17th, 2008 by andrew06
I believe that text messeging is an incredibly useful form of comunication. Texting seems, to be a faster, more efficient way of sending across a message to friends and family. On average, I am constantly texting through out the whole day. I usually text anywhere from twenty to two hundred messages depending who I am talking to. I dont really text too many people, just close friends. In my opinion, texting does not have an effect on your writing in any way. Writing and texting are two different things to me, and that should be the same for everybody else. Text messaging is seen everywhere in our society today. Nearly everywhere you look you will see someone texting on their cellphone. No longer needing spoken communication to commnicate with one another, we can be more open with ourselves, not being pressured. But i still believe that we should commnicate with eachother face to face and through speech.
