The podcast I listened to was “Monster By Walter Dean Myers”. What I found especially interesting was the soundtrack that this person had chosen. It fit very well with the atmosphere of the book. The person used voice acting and direct quotes from the books which was also very capturing. There was a lot of emotion put into the dialog which made it stand out capturing the listeners attention. Overall, I found this podcast to be very persuasive and well made. I might consider adding to mine would be a soundtrack that will fit well with the story. Also I might add sound effects for a more realistic and capturing dialoge.

I believe that text messeging is an incredibly useful form of comunication. Texting seems, to be a faster, more efficient way of sending across a message to friends and family. On average, I am constantly texting through out the whole day. I usually text anywhere from twenty to two hundred messages depending who I am talking to. I dont really text too many people, just close friends. In my opinion, texting does not have an effect on your writing in any way. Writing and texting are two different things to me, and that should be the same for everybody else. Text messaging is seen everywhere in our society today. Nearly everywhere you look you will see someone texting on their cellphone. No longer needing spoken communication to commnicate with one another, we can be more open with ourselves, not being pressured. But i still believe that we should commnicate with eachother face to face and through speech.

The Hallway

A chill runs down my spine, every time this bizarre experience comes to mind. Before it happened, I thought nothing of ghosts and the paranormal. Ghosts are defined as an apparition of a deceased person usually encountered in places they frequented. Some skeptics believe that ghosts aren’t real, and that it’s all in the witnesses head. I believe otherwise.
I was six years old at the time. The sun had been down for a while and the night sky was a murky black. I sat in the living room quietly playing with my toys. My dog sat loyally by my side, with a curious look on his face. Suddenly, I felt as if someone was watching me. I took a deep breath, told myself that it was all in my head, and went back to what i was doing.
The hallway was about six feet from where I sat. It was dark. I began to hear footsteps coming from the hallway. The only other person in the house besides me was my mother, who had been cooking in the kitchen, which was on the other side of the room nowhere near the hallway. I slowly turned my head, and in terror, froze. A man, dressed in a black dress suit, walked past me. He had no expression on his pale looking face and walked almost as if he was floating. He walked into the dining room, then everything went silent for a second. In disbelief, I shouted for my mother’s help and she quickly came into the room. She asked me what was the matter, assuming I had injured myself or something. Trembling, I told her of the man and how he had walked into the dining room. She suggested that it was my dog and that I probably was tired. My mother smiled, got up, and returned to the kitchen to finish her cooking. I sat there with a blank look on my face as my head started hurting and I began to feel nauseous. Rocko, my dog, had been sitting by me the whole time. Slowly, I got up and cautiously walked towards the dining room. I had to know if what I saw was real. I slowly peered into the dining room expecting to see whoever had walked into there. No one. It looked just like always nothing, nothing missing or out of place.
Then it hit me. I had seen an apparition, a ghost. Ever since that day, I have been fascinated with the paranormal, especially ghosts. Eventually, due to the fact that no one had previously passed away in my house, I believe that this man must have been my grandfather, who had died not to long before it happened. He had been ill due to lung cancer, so my parents cared for him in our home for months. Sadly, he did not make it and died in his home. Even though that this was one of the more terrifying moments in my life, it was one that I don’t regret experiencing. Still to this day, on extremely rare occasions, I will look at the hallway and remember that day.
